Clear the big stuff first
Old furniture, mattresses, whitegoods and anything you are not taking should go first, they are the hardest to shift and the most likely to cost you. Book a rubbish removal so the place is empty before the final clean.
Do not forget the hidden spots
Garage, shed, balcony and under-house storage catch you out at inspection. Clear them out completely, agents check.
Time it right
Book your clean-out for the day before your final clean so you are working in an empty, easy-to-clean home. Same-day removal is handy when moving dates are tight.
